Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference
FALL FESTIVAL
Fall Festival is an entertaining, fun, and family-friendly celebration of the season, and is Hands4Hope - Youth Making A Difference’s largest youth-led fundraising event. The youth-led Committee planning this event consists of middle and high school age participants from many different schools and locations throughout the Folsom to Placerville region. Participants gain career skills and have fun while Adult mentor volunteers and Hands4Hope staff work with the youth throughout the process, providing scaffolding and support.
The Committee begins forming in July, and meets regularly from August through October. The youth Committee participants divide into four subcommittees to plan and prepare for this community event, including Operations & Finance, Games & Activities, Marketing & Fundraising, and Volunteer Management.
In addition to the Fall Festival Committee participants, adult and youth volunteers will fill more than 200 shifts to contribute to the event’s success throughout the weekend.
News
The committee has been working diligently on creating all marketing materials as well as working with vendors who will be donating their time to make this amazing event possible and to bring joy to all of the families who attend.
