With the start of a new school year comes the season for students from Folsom to Placerville to join their on-campus clubs at 13 middle and high school locations! The club experience puts youth led learning through service at the center of the club's activities, using the Explore-Act-Lead model. First, participants explore needs in their communities. Then they act on them by creating, developing, and implementing service-learning projects, while offering a variety of opportunities to lead. Each club is guided by one of our experienced and caring Education Team Staff Members, who ensure that the environment stays positive, inclusive, and focused.
Many school campuses host a "Club Day" to introduce students to club opportunities. Club Day is a great way to meet club leaders and get information about meeting details. Here are the Club Days we know about:
El Dorado High School - Aug 23
Ponderosa High School - Aug 28
Folsom High School - Aug 30
Vista Del Lago High School - Sep 1
Oak Ridge High School - Sep 6
Sutter Middle School - Sep 7
Union Mine High School - Sep 8
Folsom Middle School - Sep 14
Homeschoolers are welcome to join the on-campus club meeting that is most convenient for them.
Folsom Schools
El Dorado Hills Schools
Oak Ridge High School - two clubs to choose from:
Cameron Park Schools
El Dorado Schools
Shingle Springs Schools
Placerville Schools
If an on-campus club opportunity doesn't work with a student's schedule, our after school committees and community engagement opportunities are also available to provide meaningful participation opportunities. Participants in all of our programs choose their own level of involvement based on their own availability and interest. Some may only participate in their on-campus club, some may only participate in after school committees, and others in many different activities.
