On-Campus Clubs Wrap Up 2024

Updated: Jul 24

The 14 Hands4Hope on-campus clubs completed the final part of the year-long service-learning process for the 2023-2024 school year: Demonstration. During this phase, students recap everything they learned from the previous phases and share project results and lessons learned.

We are so proud of all the youth who participated in these clubs! We encourage you to join us in congratulating all the participants by viewing their demonstration projects.

Folsom On-Campus Clubs

Folsom High School voted to help foster youth and to support Koinonia Family Services. Koinonia said they could use board games, card games, and puzzles, so the Club organized a game drive. Games and puzzles were collected at two locations: Loomis Basin Congregational UCC, and The Game Getaway. The Club collected more than $1,000 worth of new and gently used games.

Vista del Lago High voted to support youth impacted by homelessness served by Wind Youth Services. The Club offered Valentine's Day "Bear-Grams", and a dine-out event. They also wanted to host a carnival, but had a difficult time securing a venue, so they had to pivot at the last minute. They collected hygiene products for the youth experiencing homelessness.

Sutter Middle School hosted a carnival to benefit WeEmbrace, which serves those with disabilities. They had a blast planning and working the event. In addition to games and food, the Club decided to collect items from the community and have a drawing for prizes. The value of the prizes ranged from $5 to $250. The club collected over $1000.
